Slung scaffolding is designed to be suspended from the main structure in one fixed position using sling wire ropes and steel chains. It is resistant to moving from side to side and cannot be raised higher or lower once properly fastened to a secure anchorage point.

What type of work is carried out using slung scaffolding?
Slung scaffolding provides workers with a sturdy and secure platform to carry out particular tasks, for example, painting or repair works. It is often seen being used for construction works on cinemas, theatres, halls and bridges.
It is a great solution for workers who need to access project work above ground level where a ladder is not suitable or could pose safety risks.
Slung scaffolding is positioned above ground level at the required height for workers to carry out particular tasks whilst allowing workers on ground level to continue their works underneath the structure without interruption. This means that construction works can be completed much faster, without the need to wait for one project element to be completed before starting the next.
We work hard to deliver a premium, professional standard of service across the nation. All of our scaffolding is designed to meet British Standard (BS EN 12811-1:2003) and go above and beyond expected health and safety requirements.
